Back in 2021 I set out on my journey towards becoming a professionally trained private chef, with a vision to start my very own cookery school here on the Isle of Wight.

Located in the seaside village of Gurnard on the edge of Cowes, arguably the sailing capital of the world, I currently run a broad range of cooking classes for all levels, including my 'Eatwell at Uni' course aimed at students leaving home for the first time and my 'Eatwell Afloat' course for prospective bluewater sailors planning their first long distance passages at sea.

In addition there are plenty of classes suitable for home cooks of all abilities, ranging from absolute beginner through to more ambitious cooks hoping to learn or perfect new cooking skills such as pasta making, fish cookery and patisserie. Classes run with a maximum of 6 students, ensuring plenty of one-on-one tuition in a relaxed, purpose-designed environment.

With equipment provided by leading kitchen appliance manufacturer KitchenAid (you may be familiar with their eye-catching food mixers as seen on the Great British Bakeoff)you'll learn plenty of tips and shortcuts to make cooking an enjoyable part of your daily routine.

I'm passionate about our fabulous island and supporting our incredible food and drink producers and my courses are designed to put them first and foremost as much as possible. My five day cookery courses include visits to some of my favourite suppliers, and there are occasional guest chef classes with some of our leading island chefs to showcase the breadth of food and drink available here on the Isle of Wight.
