Back for its second year, I'm delighted to be running cooking classes for children and adults every day during the Great Wight Bite food and drink festival in Cowes this September 7th and 8th.

Kids Cooking Lessons

The Little Chef's Den children's cooking classes offer budding chefs aged 7-15 years the chance to learn how to cook a range of yummy dishes, plus I'll be joined in the tent by TV's Chris Bavin and chef and author Valentine Warner, there to offer encouragement and a few top tips along the way!

Choose from Spaghetti Carbonara, Chicken Katsu or naughty but nice Strawberry Cheesecake Shortcake.

All classes last around 45 minutes and class participants will receive a Great Wight Bite apron, knife finger guard and Little Chef's Den certificate signed by Chris Bavin.

Sushi & Saki Masterclass

The incomparable GC from renowned Asian fusion restaurant Smoking Lobster is back by popular demand this year, running his sell-out sushi making masterclass.

Learn to make your own fresh sushi and perfect sushi rice and finish the cooking class with a saki drinks tasting!

Canapé & Drinks Masterclass

New for this year, I'm excited to be collaborating with the Isle of Wight Distillery to host an adult canapé and cocktail masterclass, with all ticket proceeds going to the Isle of Wight Foodbank.

Why not sign up and enjoy making (and eating!) three canapés featuring Mermaid’s gin, vodka and rum in each dish - plus I’ll be joined by Mermaid founder Xavier Baker who’ll be talking us through the inspiration behind their award-winning range of spirits.

During the class, you'll make beef carpaccio with Mermaid Pink Gin pickled strawberries, Bloody Mary tomato tartlets with Mermaid Salt Vodka and Mermaid Spiced Rum and lime prawn skewers.
