Canapé Masterclass

Whether you're a serious party organiser, dinner party host - or simply a fan of delicious bite-sized food, my one day Canapé Masterclass will teach you all the tips, tricks and recipes you need to save you time (and money) when it comes to making your own appetisers and nibbles. You'll get to eat what we make along with a glass of wine or fizz - and take home any of the food you don't manage to polish off!

The day will start with a welcome over coffee and cake (homemade of course) before a quick run through of the secrets to successful event planning.

Together we'll then make five different canapés such as:

Gallybagger gougères

Beetroot and orange cured salmon

Mini Yorkshire puds with chorizo, sun dried tomato and Parmesan

Watermelon, feta and hazelnut skewers

Blue cheese and pancetta tartlets

Coconut panko prawns with yuzu mayo

'Heavenly' dates

Torched mackerel on salsa crostini

Mushroom arancini with tarragon

We'll also discuss tweaking recipes to make them suitable for guests with dietary requirements, as well as suggesting variations to switch up recipes if you can't find a particular ingredient or don't have time to go the full hog.

I'll share all the tips, tricks and shortcuts I've learned over the years as well as during my own cookery school training at Leiths and Ashburton - and cover various different ways to serve your canapés as well as menu-planning advice to ensure your next (or first!) dinner party is foolproof, stress-free and enjoyable!

Lunch

You'll enjoy a light lunch prepared earlier by me, together with a complimentary glass of wine (soft drinks for anyone not drinking)

The day will finish with you tucking into your canapés, paired with a glass of champagne or sparkling wine. Come armed with some spare food containers for anything you want to take home with you!
